I love massage therapy because....

My massage therapist is my daughter! She recently moved back to our home city, and comes to my house once a week to treat me to a massage. I have MS along with fibromyalgia. Julie (my daughter) is a certified precision neuromuscular therapist. She can target the exact spot to relieve pain and spasticity. Besides, every massage gives us a chance for an hour's worth of mom-daughter heart talk.

The Healing!

My massage therapist offers physical, emotional, mental, even spiritual healing - she's very open minded and spiritual. My body is like silly putty when she's done and I sleep like a newborn. When your body is in that empty and relaxed state, healing of all kinds happens. I've had hot rock, relaxation, aromatherapy, and deep tissue massage. Love it, love it, love it! My next step is getting into massage school so I can make it a part of my life and healing studies.

Why I Love Massage

To be touched with healing hands... Sad it is cost prohibitive.

Love My Massages...

I have been receiving massages since 1996. I am on my 4th massage therapist - due to people moving or illnesses. I swear by them too. When I was between massage therapists the stress from my family situation got so high that I came down with bacterial pneumonia. I spent 5 days in the hospital then. I usually get a full body massage with emphasis on back, shoulders, and butt. Forget the shins, I cannot stand it there. I just feel better all around after I have had a massage. I recommend massage to everyone.

Touch Therapy

Massage allows the client and therapist the opportunity to share in touch, one of the most basic healing modalities there is. Massage gives me the chance to receive calming, loving touch for an hour, something that is sorely missing in today's society.

Total Relaxation

I don't know what kind of massages I have gotten in the past. I do know that, after a massage, my muscles and joints feel relaxed. At a function at work, the massage therapist offered me a chair massage for a headache I had. Sure enough, ten minutes later, my headache was gone. I just wish I could have her come and give me a massage everytime something hurt!

Deep Tissue Massage

I have fibroymyalgia and a deep tissue massage is heaven. I only wish I could afford it more. I don't really go for the Hot Stone Massage though.
