Hi, I am Bridget. I am a Reiki healer.

My healing lesson is when I have any pain, no matter where it is in my body, I give it a name. I talk to it asking it what has brought it on. Then, I go through my thoughts for the past day or night to see if I was thinking any bad thoughts.

My Healing Tip

I count down to 10 while taking in big breaths and pretend the pain is going out with every out breath I take. If I still have the pain I pretend I have a little Hoover (vacuum) inside me. I mentally take it out and put it on the place where the pain is and then I will Hoover the pain away, sucking it up. Then I blow it out my mouth. When I do this the pain is gone and I am very relaxed. You can do this as many times as you want as it works all the time. You will feel much better afterwards, go on, give it a try!

I use this method of sucking away pain all the time because I am around a lot of very stressed people every day. I am a caregiver for my dad who is in a wheelchair. He needs 24 hour care. He gets very annoyed because he cannot do the things he wants to do like put on his shoes so he shouts at his body a lot. At the end of every day I do become stressed so I will relax, put on my Hoover, and breathe out all my stress.

Lessons Learned

  • There is always a reason for every pain. You get stressed or hurt but you can get rid of it by using the right tools in your mind.
  • You don't have to take any medications, all you have to do is relax and let your mind take over.
  • You will sleep better if you do this with your bad thoughts as well.
  • If there is a person in your life that is causing you stress put their name on a piece of paper and put it in the freezer that way you are freezing them and their ways out of your life!
