Response from Anandra: Hello Liz,
Overcoming a negative self-image takes a bit of time and focus, but it's well worth it and is entirely possible.
It’s great that you are aware that “you” are different from the messages you’re carrying around with you (from your ex, or other voices from your past). That’s an awesome starting point!
You can build your self-esteem from the soul, which is the real “you.” (Rather than any temporary identity built by you, or imposed on you by others.) When you are deeply in touch with this real “you,” everything in your life will flow more easily.
Now, you need to change the soundtrack in your head and keep repeating thoughts that define the real “you” and affirm your natural inner beauty, ability, and hope for your future. Make a conscious effort to retrain each and every negative thought into a positive one, and you’ll start feeling better instantly. Keep it up, and the noise of negativity will fade into the background and eventually disappear.

I'd be honored to help you personally, if you'd consider working with me. All of my sessions are by donation, so there should be no obstacle if you're drawn to my assistance.
