Reiki: Science or Superstition?

Tuesday November 10, 2009
Hello!!! Science has recognized Reiki as effective in healing pain. But, has anyone told the Bishops???

Earlier this year a committee of catholic bishops concluded that trust in Reiki is superstitious and also that Reiki had no scientific support. Well... now it does! Last week a member of the Holistic Healing forum posts disapproval of the church's current stance against the use of Reiki.

tcup wrote "I am delighted that Reiki is proven by science to be an effective healing modality! If only the Pope had studied it more before he condemned it, that man is taking the Church back to the Middle Ages." (join forum discussion)

tcup is pointing out the church's folly in light of recent scientific findings. Medical doctors have concluded that Reiki and other hands-on energy medicine modalities show evidence of pain reduction. This is in direct opposition with the Catholic church's declaration deeming the use of Reiki inappropriate for its representatives..
