Free Advice from Intuitive Life Coach, Jaelin K. Reece
Dear Jaelin,
I like this girl... a lot... but we've been friends for a while. I want to tell her how I feel but I'm scared that it will ruin the friendship and make things awkward. I need advice on what to do about this because I just don't know. I also have a friend going through this exact problem so PLEASE HELP US!!!
Ryan
Dear Ryan,
I know how difficult it can be to take the risk to express feelings. Life is about taking risks. We are emotional beings and the more we keep the the emotions bottled up inside, the more stressful life becomes.
It is important to communicate how you feel, even if it is somewhat awkward. Remember that you may be missing out on something even more wonderful than the friendship you have now. This is something that happens for everyone. We want to share our feelings to a potential girlfriend or boyfriend, we want to tell our boss how we feel about a problem at work, we want to tell a friend something we don't like about the way they act... the list can go on and on.
What we really don't want to do is create a change or stir the pot of emotions because we are not assured of an outcome. There are no guarantees. There are only opportunities for change. Remember, the only thing in life that never changes, is the fact that everything changes. It is okay to be afraid of the change. However, if you allow the fear to rule you, you will never know how things could be if you face the feelings and do it anyway.
My best wishes to you!
