Into The West - Lakota Stone Medicine Wheel

The first episode of Into The West premiered on Friday evening. The two hour segment was a bit slow getting started, I guess that is to be expected for early character building. I was especially intrigued with the Lakota Stone Medicine Wheel. The character 'Loved By Buffalo', a youth who becomes a Medicine Man in training, is showing empathic abilities by instinctively taking on the illnesses of others. I don't know how authenic the story will be to our country's history as it unfolds through the summer but I think I'll keep watching.
