Share Post: What can be more therapeutic than a few kind words? A message of kindness can turn a bad day into a good day. Have you complimented a stranger or said something kind to a friend today? It only takes a moment and can make both you and the recipient feel good. Or, did someone say something nice to you that turned a difficult day around? Please share. Share Your Messages
Acts of kindness
- In our Bible study we are busy with CHOICES. I feel being a "nice" person and doing little acts of goodness to other people is what it is all about. If you take into consideration what a major 'thing' Jesus did for our salvation then we must be willing to grant others friendliness, grace....

Small Words, Big Difference
- I used to work at an espresso bar when I was in college. Maintaining a busy schedule as a student and worker, I sometimes had stressful days. And sometimes, I would encounter people who were also having stressful days and wanted to take it out on me. But more often than not, it would be the kind, friendly words of one of my customers that would pull me out of a funk. A small compliment, friendly small talk that turned slightly deep, or even just a warm smile would give my attitude the re-charging I needed, and I could go on to make other people's days better after that.

Acts of Kindness
- I live in New York City and occasionally I see moms with strollers trying to figure out how to get up or down the subway stairs. I always offer to help carry the stroller and I have never been refused. I also make it a point to wait and hold open doors for moms with strollers. I remember the day when I used to push a stroller around -- and get stuck in doors or have to bump my way down the stairs. I also offer my subway seat to pregnant women -- you'd be surprised at how many people don't! When I have a chance to perform one of these little acts of kindness, I feel good all day.

Shoveling the Snow Off of the Driveway
- My husband works long hours at the hospital while I'm busy with two small children. This winter my kind neighbor not only shoveled snow off of his own driveway but mine as well.

Keep It In Perspective
- I was recently in a frightening car crash. The most helpful thing that I heard that morning was from a paramedic on the scene who said to me "This is only an inconvenience." This helped to reduce my anxiety tremendously as I was able to put the accident into proper perspective.

Thank the volunteers
- I enjoy charity walks and other events staffed by volunteers. I make a point of thanking them for volunteering. This is especially true for youth who are volunteering - we need to encourage the next generations to be volunteers!
