Great to Know

I've never heard of using plantain for bee stings. I will certainly pass it on. Thank you for the info. What I have used many times (and it always works if you apply it soon enough) is floride toothpaste. Not gel. I assume the floride or something draws the poison out. It also cools the wound. Soon it won't be red or swollen or anything. But, toothpaste isn't always readily available when you're stung. Plantain may be more accessible. Thanks again.

Works Every Time!

I first learned about this remedy from an old white-haired man who came to the rescue of my daughter at a roadside rest area when she was around ten years old and was suffering terribly from a bee sting on the bottom of her foot. At first I thought the guy was a little looney, but then, after he carried out this strange ritual and maybe a minute had passed, my daughter stopped crying, looked up at me with a big smile on her face and said it didn't hurt anymore. Ever since that day, as a middle school life science teacher, I taught that same remedy to thousands of my students over the ensuing years. Many of them later gave me feedback about that lesson, thanking me for teaching it to them and always pointing out how they had occasions to use it on themselves, friends, or family members, and how it ALWAYS worked! I never received any negative feedback from anyone.
