About My Pet
Keva was my life. She was an English bull terrier and we did everything together, she knew how to make me smile, laugh and cry all at the same time. What a clown she was and so beautiful. Yet manly as well, she would fart, burp, eat like a pig, snore. All she would want to do was play, all day everyday with anything that moved and she also loved cuddles. She just had to be sitting on your knee and she was such a wee fatty. A bullie trait she had was the nose tuck it took her ages to master, by God I was proud when she eventually did it. My wee bullie girl, never forgotten. RIP.
My Pet Reunion Story
We got Molly the kitten just under a year after Keva passed and not once has Molly every acted like a cat, she actually makes a rubbish cat. She doesn't meow, she has awful balance, she can't retract her claws easily, she begs for food and she plays fetch. She has always reminded me of Keva mainly because of the farting, burping, food and play obsessions. Cats are meant to be more graceful than dogs are whereas Molly has no grace whatsoever. She also does the nose tuck and she always knew how to do it properly (As if she had plenty of practise in another life) . She's so cuddly like Keva was and loves to follow you about, Keva also hated being alone she just didn't want to miss out on any family activities, Molly is this all over. She has to be involved. She's a wee fatty too. She's Keva all over. Now I don't know if I'm just being daft or it's just a coincidence but one thing I know is Molly is a dog trapped in a cat's body. That dog being the spirit of a beautiful English bull terrier named Keva.
- Dealing with the loss of a pet is truly heartbreaking and in my experience you never really get over it.
- Don't forget about your deceased pet if you get a new pet.
- It's a waiting game, my Keva died younger than she was meant to so I think she came back to me because her life was unfulfilled.
- Love and cherish, if this does happen to you know how lucky you truly are.
