Share Your Story: Healing Lessons

By leahmercado

About Me

A bodyworker, massage therapist, spiritual guide... I am...

My desire to be with people and connect with authentic heart has brought me to share my gift of healing hands. I went to a massage school that resonated with my personal philosophy of "healer heal thyself"...

My Healing Tip

Believe that we are our best teacher through experiencing our own lives with acceptance and integrity. We can teach each other by sharing our lives without judgment. We teach sharing our experiences by powerfully accepting the present moment as a learning tool.

When we experience dis-ease or illness or some type of congestion in our body, learn to connect the thoughts that arise with it. Take a breath and notice where we have sensations in your body. Become aware of beliefs that surround the issues in our lives that keep us congested.

By connecting with each other in our authentic and compassionate heart, allows opening to possibilities of joy and peace within our bodies and our lives.

Lessons Learned

  • I learned that when I am aware of my body, my emotions, my thoughts and remember who I truly am... I create healing in my whole self: mind, body, and soul.
  • I am continuing to learn that one cannot heal without the other. I am learning that one affects the other.
  • I am also learning to trust and flow with my body's natural healing process. Resistance only creates more congestion.
  • I listen to my guiding heart, although my mind may bring fear that may again make me hold my breath. I breathe in, then I breathe out. that's all. It becomes a process of awareness and conscious choosing what actions to take next.

Leah, thank you so much for sharing your experiences and teaching others through the telling. Life is a serious of lessons, I absolutely agree.
