About Me

I am married with 2 sons. I come from a large close knit family. I love people and animals. I work in the medical field so I see the suffering of people everyday. Tolerance, forgiveness, kindness are all qualities as human beings we all share. Each of us has the capacity within ourselves to tolerate view points different from our own--religion, sexual orientation, lifestyles. These are all things that make us unique. If we all thought and behaved the same, life would not be the rich, colorful, juicy piece of fruit that it is.

My Healing Tip

Helping others helps me to get my mind off myself. I have family members with health problems--if I fixated on all the problems, past hurts, painful memories I would go crazy. Helping others keeps me in the present moment. When I am doing something that puts a smile on someones face I am living in the moment. If you dwell on the past you will miss out on all the beautiful happenings of the present. In order to get to that place where happiness dwells, you must forgive old hurts, tolerate people as they are--either get to know them because they are different and interesting or simply tolerate their right to be--either way you win. Kindness is a gift, when given makes your heart grow and teaches someone else to be kind.

Lessons Learned

  • Choosing to be kind rather than right is often the best way to go. Many times a person will not remember your face, your name, or what you do--but they will ALWAYS remember how you made them feel. That is not to say you should be someone's door mat. But, many times, approaching a problem with kindness first can make the difference between a difficult situation and a tolerable situation.
