About Me and Why I Blog
My name is Brandi and I live in Colorado Springs, CO with my wonderful husband, our (almost) teenage daughter, and our two animal sidekicks. I am a Certified Yoga Instructor and am also on the way to having a degree in Natural Health from Clayton College. I care deeply about living and raising my family holistically and doing what I can to walk lightly upon this blessed Earth.
I started my blog as a supplement to my website, but mostly to get back in the habit of recording my thoughts and writing about things that I care about.
What I Write About in My Blog
The concept behind my blog is how I live my yoga on an everyday basis, and is really an opportunity not only for others to get a different perspective on things, but at times, for me to get a deeper perspective into myself.
Things that I cover vary from post to post, but mostly I write about yoga and health, and how these things apply to life. For example, just recently I posted about a trip that my husband and I took to my favorite hot spring, and how we came home and immediately went headfirst back into our hectic schedules. We did not allow the necessary integration time to take the healing energies of those waters and apply them in ways that would best serve us.
Another post speaks about the healing power of potatoes. My husband came down with blood poisoning and we went through a horrible ordeal at our local emergency clinic only to treat the wound with reiki, epsom salts, and potatoes.
These are just a sample of the many topics that I might choose to write about from time to time.
