Tarot Card Decks
Name of Tarot Card Deck:
Morgan-Greer TarotHow long I've owned this deck:
Over 14 yearsMy Review
The colors used in the artwork on the cards are somewhat muted, but that is what I especially like about them. They feel very "earthy" to me and warm to the touch. This deck is an easy transition from the popular Rider Waite deck. The imagery in the Morgan-Greer Tarot is very similar to artwork on the Rider Waite cards. I find the Page cards quite interesting in this deck of cards. The characters on the Page of Swords and Page of Pentagons look male. The Page of Cups definitely looks female, whereas the Page of Rods looks unisex although maybe slightly more masculine. Pages are intended to represent youth of both sexes but are normally depicted as young boys.
My favorite card from this deck
My favorite is the Nine of Pentacles, raspberry colorful, full of promise, riches abundant. I do not care for The Devil card which is a picture of a black goat's head with a pentacle atop its head between its spiraling horns. The goat looks more hexing than karmic in nature. I was taught The Devil card represented karmic connections so the goat doesn't jive with me for this card.
