Wendy Kayte Kaplan, CH.T. a Certified Transpersonal Clinical Hypnotherapist and an Usui Reiki practitioner was a dear friend of mine. She lost her battle with cancer in 1999. I met Wendy through an Internet connection in 1997. Wendy and I hit it off immediately and I was fortunate to be able to meet her in person before she died. I attuned her to Reiki at that time. We called ourselves "Sister Scorps" but we shared many common interests beyond our astrological sun sign, including healing, a wicked sense of humor, and an intuitive nature. Wendy created a pair of inner child dolls (a boy and a girl) that she used as tools in her hypnotherapy practice. She kindly sent me the sewing instructions for her dolls. She dearly loved dragonflies, the dragonfly was her spirit totem. In a way, Wendy's spirit and personality was much like a dragonfly, reflective and colorful.

The dragonfly reminds us to "Let Our Light Shine Forth" ...she brings the brightness of transformation and the wonder of colorful new vision.
