My dad is a very talented man. He has the gift of creating things with his hands. He worked in the construction business, so he built houses most of his life, including the home we grew up in. He worked with wood and leather and other materials too, to make all kinds of things. My father and mother together built a family of seven. My parents created and nurtured a love that has lasted more than 50 years. Mom and Dad just celebrated their golden anniversary. My dad also paints beautiful water colors, oils and acrylics. He is always busy making something. My father had a big part in forming the person who I am today. In many ways, I'm proud to say, I take after my dad. I believe the most important thing my father built was an honest and genuine relationship with God, for it will endure for eternity. By his example, my dad passed down to me and to all of my siblings, a desire to know God. And I thank God for my dad.
