Hawayo Takata, the woman who has been attributed to spreading Reiki Healing globally, initiated twenty-two individuals to Usui Shiki Ryoho during her lifetime.

Takata taught Reiki in Hawaii, continental United States, and Canada. Through her students, and the students they have since attuned to this natural system of touch therapy, Reiki is now practiced world-wide.

Almost all Reiki healers in practice today are offsprings of the Usui-Hayashi-Takata Lineage.

In the table below are the names of the original 22, the dates they became Reiki Masters, and information about their accomplishments and contributions to the holistic healing community. Several of these individuals have since made their transition to spirit, but their Reiki legacies live on through their students.
