Today I'm sharing the recipe to my favorite fruit and yogurt smoothie. This recipe makes a large, refreshing, tasty, and healthy smoothie. Often times I
will divide it into two smaller portions and share it with my husband. When
I share it I will use two scoops of protein powder to assure I get my daily dose
of soy and protein.
The blackberries can be substituted with your favorite fruit
(strawberries, black cherries, red raspberries, blueberries, peaches, pineapple, etc.)
Product name brands I prefer to use are Dannon
Plain Yogurt, Tropicana orange
juice with added calcium, and GeniSoy's
Ultra-XT protein powder.
Blackberry Banana Smoothie
- One banana
- 3/4 cup blackberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1/3 cup plain yogurt
- Single serving scoop natural soy protein powder
- 4 to 6 ice cubes
- 1/2 cup orange juice
Blend all of the above ingredients in your blender or food processor until
well-mixed. Your smoothie will have a delightful frothy texture. This smoothie
makes for a great breakfast, lunch, or mid-afternoon pick-me-up! If you want to get fancy, give it some eye-appeal by topping it with a garnish of a couple of fresh whole berries and a mint leaf.
