James says:I am James Wanless, Ph.D. Political Scientist from Columbia University, who transformed into a spiritual counseling with emphasis on the archetypal, wholistic tarot. I have created the best-selling multi-cultural Voyager Tarot Deck (1985 published, 250,000 sold) along with tarot books, Wheel of Tarot: A New Revolution, New Age Tarot, Way of the Great Oracle, Strategic Intuition for the 21st Century. I teach Voyager throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia. I have established Online Courses, Way of the Seeker, Way of the Seer and Way of the Master. For over 30 years I have been considered a master tarot reader and have developed a revolutionary way of working with the cards by Coaching Tarot.
My latest new deck is Sustain Yourself "green wisdom" Cards along with accompanying book entitled, Sustainable Life: The New Success. Voyager is a colorful, photomontage deck that takes the tarot out of the medieval world of royalty and swords and pentacles. Instead, there are the "Human Family" Cards, Crystals instead of Swords, and Worlds (planets) instead of Pentacles. It is truly multi-cultural that brings for the great art of Africa, ancient Greece and Egypt, along with Renaissance Europe, modern America and traditional Asian symbols. Voyager is, like the Voyager spacecraft, a journey into the universe of ourselves. And Voyager is an intuitive deck because of the great plethora of rich symbology that incites sparks insight and inspiration!. It is organized in a very, very highly archetypal, wholistic psychology, called it the "psychology deck." Voyager is very down-to-earth that is both magically and absolutely practical for everyday life that includes hermeticism, shamanism, Buddhism, numerology, and astrology.
James' response to my question:What lesson have you learned in life that has helped or inspired you in a significant way?
I have learned most about from the tarot how to accept and transform "negative cards" because they are major growth opportunities. I relish the 12 challenge, test, problematic cards as signs that we are ready to learn and grow from these cards.
And I have learned from the Magician archetype how to make magic and manifest by noticing the Aces of Tarot that give us the Fortune Formula (See it (Ace of Wands), Feel it (Ace of Cups), Believe it (Ace of Crystals), Invoke it (Magician archetype), and Do it (Ace of Worlds).
James' message to our readers:Because of the Voyager Tarot, I have the "Map of Life" that is my constant friend, ally, and mentor and I have become all the cards so that I have potentiated myself as much as possible to follow my destiny.
