Karen says:
I am a self taught needle tatter/lace maker, mother, wife and hobby farmer. My family and I reside along the beautiful eastern shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. My Etsy Shop came about when I began meditating but was having troubles getting my crystals to stop rolling off of me when I laid down. I tatted some crystals into a little doily and used that. It stayed in place, my meditating was peaceful, and a beautiful idea blossomed. That was in 2008, now 5 years later I find myself expanding my creations from chakra meditation to pieces for the mind, body, and spirit, cleansing, angels and fairies, heirloom keepsakes, symbolism and animal totems.
I also love crystals and colors and strive to incorporate their healing energies into my designs for other to benefit from. I am currently creating OOAK (one of a kind) Patchwork Shawls, developing my own line of handmade tatting needles, preparing to teach workshops on needle tatting with yarn, and finalizing some of my original designs for publication.
Karen's response to my question:
What lesson have you learned in life that has helped or inspired you in a significant way?I enjoy living in the present, staying positive about life, and to 'just let everything flow'. Sometimes standing back and taking a pause can show us wonderful things about ourselves and each other. This also gives us the opportunity to reflect, absorbed and respond in appropriate ways.
Karen's message to our readers:

It truly is humbling to know that my work has reached far and wide. I am truly blessed by all the wonderful people I have met over the years, become friends with, and learned from. Thank you.
