Diane: To measure an aura I would take just one rod.
Diane: Stand back about 12 feet or so if you can and ask ""Rod, please swing outward when I come upon xxxx's auric field (or be specific and say the etheric aura, mental aura, etc - whatever one you want to check.)
Diane: Then, walk very slowly towards the person
Diane: The rod will swing out (to the right or left) when you reach the outer boundary of the aura.
Diane: It can be fun to check someone's aura...then ask them to close their eyes, concentrate on a happy occasion by really visualizing it, feeling it, smelling it, etc.
Diane: Then start again and measure it. You may have to start further away from them and their aura will have expanded.
Doris: Cool
UniHOST: wonderful
Diane: You know how, in Therapeutic Touch and other healing modalities, the healer scans the aura field with their hand(s)?
UniHOST: can you find health problems in the body as well?
UniHOST: yes have done this
Diane: Well, you can scan the field with 1 L-rod instead. You begin by turning sideways and holding the L-rod in front of you, you begin at the head and move down to the feet. before
Diane: beginning, ask the rod to turn in where energy is missing, and to turn out where there is an excess of energy.
UniHOST: cool
Diane: Any more questions...
Doris: Can one do this to oneself for possible health problems?
UniHOST: how would being tired affect the outcome of using L rods
Diane: Unfortunately it is too difficult to hold the rod and scan your own body.
Diane: Here, a pendulum works best.
UniHOST: cool
Doris: I see.
UniHOST: what other types of dowsing would you use the L rods with instead of the pendulum
Diane: You can take an anatomy book and holding the pendulum in one hand, run your finger over a bosy. Ask ""Do I have a problem in my this area?'
Diane: That's ""body"", bot ""bosy""...
UniHOST: oh going to check that out
UniHOST: lol
UniHOST: oh doris all my lol's are lots of love
Diane: This way, you can really narrow it down. A good anatomy book to get is the The Anatomy Coloring Book. It is better than Gray's Anatomy.
Doris: Oops - I thought it meant ""laughing out loud""
UniHOST: oh no problem lol
UniHOST: how long did you practice before you became good at using the rods?
Diane: One thing to ask before you begin dowsing is ""Am I hydrated"".
UniHOST: oh?
Diane: If not, drink a glass ot 2 of water and ask again. If still No, wait until another time. It seems that you get a more accurate
Diane: response when you are hydrated.
UniHOST: oh wow
Doris: Interesting!
UniHOST: agree
UniHOST: is it the same with useing the pendulum
UniHOST: ?
Diane: i don't use the rods nearly as much as I use a pendulum. I learnt how to use the rods fairly quickly and find they respond well.
UniHOST: thank you
Diane: The only problem is that I have no tangible proof that a water vein is underground ot that there really is a geopathich line where
Diane: the rod says it is. Also, I am not good at finding things. It seems that dowsers are better in one area than another.
UniHOST: oh will have to try L rods and see which works better for me ty
Diane: Unfortunately in dowsing, it is hard to get the rational mind out of the way. If someone you respect says there is a line somewhere
Diane: then when you walk over the spot, your rods react as well!
UniHOST: ok can understand
Diane: Was that because there really is a line there and you both found it?
Diane: Or was it because you mind said that it must be there?
Doris: I've really enjoyed this chat and I've learned a lot, but I have two hungry cats demanding that I get off this computer and go and feed them! I'll have to sign off but thanks very much for all the information. Take care, Doris
Diane: Thanks Doris...nice chatting with you!
UniHOST: many blessings much love and light Doris please also come to chat room 1 was very nice meeting you
Doris: Thank you both very much.
Diane: You know Uni, people may not join this chat as they think the rods are used only for finding water.
UniHOST: she had a lot of good questions
UniHOST: well not if they read the article
Diane: I gave a basic dowsing course recently and I called it an "Intuition Course".
UniHOST: oh that may have been a better phrase to use
UniHOST: would you like to do this chat again
UniHOST: with this title
UniHOST: ?
Diane: Once they find out all that they can use a pendulum for all kinds of things, they're amazed.
UniHOST: very true
Diane: Yes, that would be fine. Perhaps early in the new year?
UniHOST: that sounds great to me
UniHOST: thank you so very much again Diane it has been a wonderful chat
