Ringxiety (also known as Fauxcellarm or Phantom Rings) is an anxiety-related compulsion. You experience ringxiety when you reach for the phone, or actually answer a phone that has not rung. This happens when you mistakenly think you hear the phone ringing and respond as if it had. It is believed that ringxiety (hallucination of ringing sounds) happens as a result of being in a state of hyper-expectation or increased anticipation.

Similar to fauxcellarm, nomophobia is classified as a phobia of being without a cell phone. The fear is being disconnected from your contacts.
