Question: Should I take my dog to the vet for ear mites?
My Chihuahua, Tiny's ears started with smelly ears, then brown wax(mites) now his ear is very red, keeps shaking head and crying. I have some Mometamax that I've used several times now but it has gotten worst. Today is Sunday, What can I do to soothe his pain and discomfort. Should he see a vet?

I think you should definitely take Tiny to the vet. The ear can become very sore and he might need an anti-inflammatory injection to sooth his discomfort. Your vet can also have a really good look inside the ear to see exactly what the problem is and maybe prescribe some stronger veterinary drops and cleaning regime. Good luck I'm sure Tiny will be back to his usual self very quickly.
