Did my dog pass peacefully?

Maddie

Question: Did my dog pass peacefully?
Dear Madeleine,

In June I had to have Maddie put to sleep as she had a disc blow out in her back. The vet said to take her home and spoil her and bring her back the next day. It broke my heart. My husband said I over fed her which is why it happened. I would like to know if she passed over peacefully and if she is keeping an eye on the old dog we still have. Thank you.
Kind regards,
Charmaine

Answer: Dear Charmaine,

Poor you. Losing our animal companions is SO hard. Thank you for sending the photo-what an amazing girl she was. Such loving wisdom in her eyes. I'm sure she's still around - she's showing me that she's nudging the old dog to help it get moving up and down steps or climbing up and down from things? It is like she's saying "come on hurry up you can do it!" I don't know if that is what she would have been like when she was alive. She has a very busy energy about her- like she had to be involved with everything and I think she's still like that now in spirit - she's not going to give up her input just like that! So just be open to her being around and take notice of dreams and feelings as she will find a way of letting you know she's there!

Charmaine's response to Madeleine's Answer: Dear Madeleine, Thank you so much! Yes Maddie used to nag the old dog constantly. Yes so much wisdom in her eyes. You are are quite right. I appreciate you taking the time to reply and it is a wonderful thing that you do. I live in Adelaide, South Australia, what a wonderful thing, the Internet! Kind Regards.

Sending you a big hug to try and cheer you up a little,
