Definition:
Rapid Eye Technology (RET) is a self-empowering technique which provides for ocular assisted release which simulates REM sleep patterns characterized by systematic movement of the eyes and eyelids, rapid verbal communication. An eye directing device (wand) which vibrates at a high speed is operated by a trained technician. The wand movement mirrors REM sleep patterns, the client picks up the movement through their vision and sends the message to the brain that REM sleep is occurring allowing the body to release stressful emotions.
