About Healing Touch:
- In 1990, this program of study was accepted as a certificate program of the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA). The Canadian Holistic Nurses Association has endorsed it as well. In 1996, Healing Tounch International, Inc. became the certifying organization for this hands-on energy-based therapy.
Healing Touch consists of six levels of training. Level I, IIA, IIB, III, IV, and V. Each level requires a commitment of several hours of instruction to gain knowledge and hands-on practice to develop Healing Touch skill. Practitioner certification can be attained after Level III. Level IV training is for the practitioner's involvement in case studies, mentoring others, and establishing client/therapists relationships, ethics, and development of a private practice.
