This is a simple math formula for determining a healthy intake of calories. First determine your ideal weight based on a BMI Chart. Take that number and multiply by 11 for women (multiply 12 for men). For example if you are a woman and have determined that your ideal weight based on your height is 150 pounds then you should be eating approximately 1,650 calories per day. If you are currently over the ideal weight keeping to this caloric formula (ideal weight X 11) will help you lose weight until you reach that number.
