The Mole and the Owl
A Romantic Fable about Braving the Wide World For Love

Breaking free of misplaced social boundaries and the logic of our rigid mentalities, Charles Duffie's tale of The Mole and the Owl , warms the heart, allowing our romantic yearnings to soar high in the horizons. The emotions stirred by this poetic fable range from cheers to tears.
I suggest Duffie's book (104 delightful pages in length) to be the perfect read for a lazy Saturday afternoon or on a melancholy Sunday morn with a cup of cocoa in hand while curled up on the sofa under a comfortable blanket. Allow yourself to leisurely read the descriptively scenic passages which eloquently portray the world wide adventures of a brave and trusting mole seeking to reunite with his soul mate, a white-winged owl. These two are considered an unlikely pair, rejected by their own kind for their uncommon devotion to one another. This is a poetic and beautiful love story about two animals who care deeply for each other. Their love infectiously spreads to many creatures of the wild, including the magnificent eagle, the playful otters, the cunning wolf, and the sleepy tortoise. The deepest oceans, the highest mountains, and endless sky are no obstacle to the burrowing mole in unearthing himself, determined in his efforts throughout his journey to find his lost love.
