Ayurvedic teachings maintain that having a healthy daily routine promotes wellness. A typical daily routine ayurvedic followers subscribe to will include good hygiene, regular meals, exercise, meditation, and early to rise and early to bed routines.

Typical Ayurvedic Daily Routine

Morning
~ Arise at Sunrise
~ Shower
~ Brush and Floss your Teeth
~ Scrape Your Tongue
~ Meditate for 20-30 minutes
~ Eat a light breakfast

Noon Time
~ Eat a sizable lunch (largest meal of the day)
~ Take a walk after lunch

Evening
~ Meditate for 20-30 minutes
~ Eat a light supper
~ Eat nothing after 7:00 p.m.
~ Evening walk

Bedtime
~ No television or computer for 30 minutes prior to bedtime.
~ Lights out by 10:00 p.m.
