Question: Why Does Snowflake Pee On The Bedroom and Bathroom Rugs?

Full Question: Snowflake (cat) does not spray, but pees where he wants to and is currently soiling one of the Chinese throw rugs in the master bedroom. The throw rugs in the master bath and the guest bath are peed on. Almost always the ones I stand on. He is obviously put out by me, but why?

Anne

Answer: Dear Anne,

Snowflake says "Do you know what the carpeting smells like? It is a really strong icky smell that makes me sick. I am trying to make it smell better. They use something on them, and the smell is just horrible. I don't know what it is, to make them clean, I guess. I just can't abide the smell."

It seems that Snowflake does not like the smell of the carpet cleaner and this is how he is communicating that to you.
