Question: Do Animals Reincarnate?
Answer: Full Question:

Dear Kim,

In 1989 I acquired a wonderful cat, one who was totally devoted to me. Unfortunately, he died of cancer three years later. Around Christmas of that year, I went to the pound to look at another cat, and came home with two cats. The other cat, a polydactyl, instantly bonded with me, and was totally devoted, also. I was fortunate to have him for 12 years. I always thought he was the reincarnation of my first cat, Meowreese. This may sound silly, but I feel my cat will again return to me. I have never experienced such total devotion. Do you think animals can reincarnate, or do a soul walk-on, wherein they inhabit an existing being?

Pat

Answer:

Dear Pat,

Certainly I believe that animals do reincarnate, I have talked to some animals that actually have come back, and others that intend to come back. I don’t believe that they would do a walk-in and take over the body of another animal, the ones I have talked to are willing to wait until a body is available for them to inhabit for another lifetime. Some animals will return because they were unable to finish the job they were here for, or they hadn’t yet been able to get the human to learn what they were here to teach. Some animals are attached to specific human beings, and return so they can be with them again.

Best,
