whorsew: it will be easier to explain things if you have some symbols to see
whorsew: i am white horse woman, i was taught cherokee spiritual ways by my grandmother

whorsew: do you want me to start at the beginning or at the medicine wheel...how much do you want to learn

healingADM: please start with the basics
whorsew: so first my little disclaimer, what i have been taught is not the only way...it is only one way in many ways....just like a box of chocolate cherokees have many different ways...many flavors
whorsew: and cherokee is only one nation of native americans...so you can see many different ways are out there..however..i do believe we all share some basic beliefs..i will start with those..all children are taught from birth of unseen powers..that all of these powers have been created by the "Maker of All that is.Nothing and No-one is independant, but everything and everyone is dependant upon each other,,,worship is very individual, it is what one is willing to commit to the source of life...the deeper the commitment the stronger the bond between the individual,,.the community...and the unseen powers

whorsew: community being the area in which one lives and all mother earths children...unseen powers are those that are called into the area in which one lives

whorsew: like the rain people, people with the knowledge in the sacred traditions are responsible for teaching morals and standards...most tribes have people trained from a very young age in the sacred traditions..some are very specialized and may be very secret knowledge...this knowledge is passed from generation to generation by memory
whorsew: humor is a very important part of sacred traditions
.whorsew: knowing that humans are the weakest of all mother earths children leads us to do foolish things and only through humor can we learn how to act... and why we should act in such a manner...our majour purpose is to keep the world in harmony and balance...t he beginning of all knowledge centers on sustaining harmony and balance

whorsew: outside of the circle mark directions n e s w
whorsew: put a dot in the center
whorsew: one thrid of the way beteen dot and directions make another dot
healingADM: four of them?
whorsew: yes all four of them

whorsew: one third of the way from the center dot

whorsew: then one in east that touches west dot
whorsew: then one in south that touches north dot

healingADM: my drawing shows five circles so far - large circle - with 4 intersecting circles inside of it...is that right?

whorsew: now draw a smaller circle inside the big one that goes from north dot to the south dot that is next to center dot

whorsew: no north dot to dot next to center dot south

whorsew: north dot that is on first circle
starship: is it 4 dots at rim and 5 dots inside circle?

whorsew: so circle overlaps center dot

whorsew: yes a circle inside main circle, going from each of the directions so they overlap center
whorsew: four circles inside big circle
starship: k now i got 2 lopped sided circles

whorsew: don't need to be perfection, we are human. you can fix better later
