UTI - It Hurts!

Urinary Tract Infection

I wish I could say I had never experienced the painful and burning discomfort of a urinary tract infection. It hurts! Anyone who has had UTI can easily sympathize with sufferers of this ailment. Urinary tract infections are not nearly as serious as a full blown kidney infection or painful cystitis (blood in urine) but they are not to be ignored. Urinary Tract Infections require prompt and proper care. Some women have been victims to cycles of recurring UTI and vaginal yeast infections.

Fruit juices that help the symptoms of UTI naturally are cranberry, apple and blueberry.

Drinking tons of water is also helpful to flush out the infection.

Children are prone to UTI when they are consuming foods to which they have a hidden allergy, sensitivity, or are consuming too much simple sugar or artificial coloring, preservatives, additives. Frequent problematic foods are milk, wheat, soy, corn, sugar, and beef.

As a preventative women and little girls should avoid taking bubble baths.

The British Medical Journal released results from a scientific study suggesting that cranberry juice reduces urinary tract infections (UTIs).

Drinking cranberry juice is a remedy that has been recommended for many years to ease the discomfort of UTI without the backing of a study indicating just how it works.
