was a young boy in South Carolina
Memory: This memory was not as connected as some of the other ones I
have had. It jumped around a bit like a dream. It started off with me as a boy
of about 13 somewhere in South Carolina, United States. I was alone in a farm
house making myself something to eat. There was no one else around, no parents
or anything. Later, I went to a military training camp (my knowledge of military
terms is limited so forgive my ignorance in this). I remember leaving on a train
to go to this camp. There was a girl at the station waving good-bye to me. I
was in my early twenties. When I got to the camp I met a man there whose name
was O'Connell or O'Conner and I became very close with him throughout our training.
The next fragment shows O'Connell and I getting some type of pin, not sure what
it was for but we were both pilots. Then, the image switched to me, O'Connell
and my girlfriend in a speakeasy type club dancing. We were drinking and smoking
and playing cards. I got the distinct impression that O'Connell and the girl
had feelings for each other and it made me jealous. But I wasn't jealous over
the possibility of losing her, I was jealous over the possibility of losing
him. The scene changes again and I am in a situation that feels like I am going
off to fight in an important place. I am in a helicopter and I am one of the
first people to have ever flown a helicopter of this kind. I take off to head
for the war and I crash and am killed.
