My
father sold me to an evil man
Memory: I was running in the
woods, trying to get away from someone. My cheek throbbed as though someone
had hit me, and I felt the wetness of blood on my face. The woods opened into
a corn field, and the cornfield opened into a large valley with a log cabin
nestled in thecenter. I saw my mother, only she was my sister, and she was hanging
clothes out to dry. My step-father was breaking in wild horses, and he was my
father. I ran into the cabin, and to my room. I looked out the window, saw a
man talking with my father. We were poor, and my father was selling me to this
man. I had been running from this man, and my cheek was throbbing, and bleeding
because he had hit me. I didn't want him, for he was an evil person.
