I was a Priest in Teotihuacan
Memory: I was a priest in Central America (I'm pretty sure it was Teotihuacan). I was standing atop a step pyramid with a slab of stone in front of me, with a person outstretched on it. And I was about to sacrifice them. As I looked out, I saw the area full of people who were watching. And I knew it was all B.S. that I was promoting... control of the masses and nothing more. We were a ruling priesthood who abused our powers. In a further vision of the same life, I saw an Aztec / Mayan "gargoyle mask" with entrails in it's mouth, and I knew that we not only sacrificed people, but participated in cannibalism, too. What I learned from the experience was that it was an experience that I had to undergo, in order to be "balanced"... I was at my worst... which allowed me to appreciate what "my best" could be. I was also struck by the grace of God, in that He could forgive me for such atrocities... but even more, that forgiveness was not necessary in the grand scheme of things, other than our own forgiveness of ourselves... What I got out of it was that I worked through my issues with becoming a healer in my own right... Because prior to that experience of recollection, as much as i wanted to be a healer, I couldn't get through a "holding back" that was connected to a vow I made long ago to never abuse power again... (It was interesting to note that while reading later of Teotijuacan in a book related to the Toltecs, that after the Aztecs took it over, they brought in human sacrifice and cannibalism as part of their rites...) I have another recollection of a life as a Kahuna, also, in which my people were being decimated, and I was helpless to stop it... I (figuratively- speaking) shook my fist at the sky and said, "I don't care what it takes, I'll do ANYTHING to stop this."..
