I've had four glimpses into my past lives
Memory: I've had four glimpses into past lives -- both at the time and since the memories remain so vivid, I can only assume they were real memories. I did not see the entire progress of the life, only a scene that depicted the way the life along with a whoosh of sudden knowledge of what that lifetime was like.
In the first life glimpse, I was drawing on an arch of a large stone wall. I was drawing a rough picture of a horse - I could see my hands working steadily with some type of black chalky material. My fingers were strong and large. I was a man. My neck ached from bending it upwards. There was light flickering darkly behind me. The memory was like a flicker in my mind it was so quick.
In the second life glimpse, I was viewing a scene from above. It was nearly dawn. I was a slightly built young man with light red hair down to my shoulders. I was wearing heavy layered yet colorful clothing shades of oranges and yellows. I got the impression I was the son of someone of importance. There were two other men crouching on a hill with me. They were obviously of rough upbringing and were dressed in simple and rough clothing, layers also. The time was early morning and our breath made smoke. I felt very fearful and emotionally upset. I was worrying about a stepmother and her child -- of my father's. It seemed to me I was extremely close with her -- maybe even having some type of love affair as she was closer to my age than my father's. The men and I were looking down upon a settlement. There were flickering lights -- firelights, I think. They told me it was "about time" and I knew they were going to take their weapons (swords and the like) down into the valley and kill and rape and burn. I was too gentle a soul for that and baulked. When I hesitated and stated this was wrong, the very largest man who had braids and trinkets in his long unkempt brown beard, raised his large sword and struck me in the left neck/collar with it. My head "flapped" off to the side. I saw all this in a second and felt my line of vision moving backwards and upward from above.
The third life glimpse, was of me as a late teenaged girl in simple black garb with thick white stockings on. I felt like it was early American times. It began as I was slowly making my way up some wooden steps in the back of some large building or house. As I climbed the steps, all I could think about was how badly my feet hurt in those terrible shoes I was forced to wear that didn't fit me. It was cold when I entered a small room with nothing in it but a small tidy cot in the corner. I sat on the bed, took off the shoes, and began to rub my feet and lament in my mind at the sorry state of my life. I cried. Apparently, I was very bad at being a servant, was constantly caught with my shoes off, and had been threatened with dismissal if I continued to lollygag, fantasize of a better life, and didn't keep the shoes on my feet. I wanted to be the lady of the manor and not the servant. Apparently, I did a great deal of daydreaming and storytelling and did not attend to my duties properly. I was frightened and was trying to figure out what I would do with my life if and when I was thrown out into the street.
In the final life glimpse, I was a young woman who worked in a tailor dress shop. This seems also in Early America, but perhaps in a more advanced stage. I'd worked very hard on a yellow dress for some rich woman. When she looked at it, she was persnickety and unsatisfied and threw a temper tantrum about some minuscule aspect that wasn't to her liking. She rejected the dress. I was crying and extremely upset about it. The shop owner, a mature woman with a foreign accent, was not angry with me. Instead she gave me the dress and we worked all night together to fit it to my dimensions. I was overjoyed.
In this lifetime, I have painful neck and feet problems and cannot abide to wear shades of yellow or orange.
