Article: Clear Out the Clutter in Your Life
Dec. 31, 2001
Hi, Enjoy your articles very much. A thought regards to clearing clutter, I have a friend, former lover, she has a SERIOUS case of this, I met her in the early 90"s, and as of right now, still the same, even though I helped her move to different place. I am not a psyhologist, I have a "gut-feeling" she has all this "stuff" as a way of protecting her inner self from being hurt. I tried to talk and help her, spent years doing, until I realized this, then finally had to "let her go". Much like an alcoholic, until they realize THEY have a problem and, are ready to face it, and WANT to deal with "the stuff", all the "steps to doing" will do no good. This is just MY own personnel thoughts on this, I have been wrong before. Thanks for hearing me out. Happy Holidays.

Hi; Just a thank you for a wonderful article on cleaning clutter out of our personal spaces. I'm 60 years old and think I'm just learning how to do that. It seems that I was always poor in my younger years and afraid that if I threw something away I would not be able to afford to replace it. Boy are old habits hard to break. I like the idea of starting with a small space, sorting into boxes, etc. Makes it easier to accomplish the task. I find that when I complete a small project like that I feel so much lighter, freer. A good feeling.
Thanks again. D. G.
