I fell in love with these cards instantly. Each card has a purpose along with a technique that you can apply to help fulfill that purpose. For example, the Surrender Card gives a manifesting technique that helps you distinguish between "needing" or "desiring" something, allowing you to wish for something you want, and at the same time being open to receiving something else that would better serve you. The Listening Card offers a technique to help you communicate with your higher self. The Freshen Up Card offers a combination exercise/breath/sound technique that purifies the body and revives your energy at the end of an exhaustive day. Altogether, there are 46 self-development cards to choose from. I've put together this Heal Yourself Intuitively Gallery that showplaces 12 cards from this remarkable intuitive deck. My gallery of images will give you a good idea what to expect from these cards. Although Reiki is the healing art that influenced the creation of the Reiki Techniques Card Deck many of the healing applications featured in the cards are non-traditional. You don't have to be a Reiki practitioner to use these cards. This week's carnival consists of an interesting mix of contributions that offers something for everyone. Debra says:
"...about half-way through putting the carnival together, I realized that instead of finding a traditional theme to do with healing, what I was experiencing was an amazing collection of articles educating us about wellness."Debra's descriptions will certainly entice you to click through to most of the carnival attractions, if not all of them. April and through May. This makes the lilac a good seasonal flower choice for a Mother's Day bouquet. Mom will love the nostalgic whiffs of fragrant lilac and colorful hues of its clusters of blooms. It is not surprising that lilac flower essence is infused with Gaia (Earth Mother) energies.lilac image (c) photos.com Monday May 5, 2008 | permalink | comments (0) Obesity and the Use of Alternative Medicine

A-ha TV's Ife Oshun is our host for this week's edition of the Carnival of Healing. Her carnival theme Facing Adversity with Strength involves the enlightenment of Earth and the resilence of its inhabitants -we the humans- following on the heels of devastating storms. This is Ife's second time hosting - I applaud her for a job well done AND for bringing the importance of Healing our Planet to the forefront.
