I have a memory of being inside the UN:
Memory: I was at the United Nations in the main hall, I knew the colors of the walls, the shapes of them and saw the room filled with people. I felt no emotions, no anger, pain, anxiety, just that I had been there. of course when I told this to my mom when I was only 6 yrs old, she told me we'd never been there, ever.
I also knew I wanted to design buildings when I grew up. (I am a female, whose mother was raised Mennonite and was a nurse, my stepfather worked blue collar jobs, I didn't even know the word "architect" then). I also had a knack for learning French and picked it up easily, all at age 5 or 6.
Since then, after a life of struggle to get to school to become an architect (I'm in grad school at age 39), I've discovered my ancestry is NOT German like we'd always thought--but French and from the same region of France (Alsace Lorrain) known for it's Resistance efforts during WWII, sketches of buildings I did of visions from dreams I still have.
One, particularly, matches a slide shown during one of my Arch history classes of an unbuilt design by a famous German architect who I have never liked, who I've also recently discovered was a Nazi collaborator. There are other incidents with friends that add up to the possibility that somehow I was involved with the French resistance, ended up at the UN later? and never got to finish my life as an architect then?
My childhood memory has faded now (perhaps because of all the years of disbelief) and I still have never been inside the UN, but the memory would be of how it had been decades ago, so that would take some research I intend to do. I'm very interested in finding out more, even a past life regression since there are other aspects of my life that could be improved if I had a few more explanations.
