Education / Experience:
Dr Betty is a Registered Nurse with a Masters in Education and PhD in Holistic Health. She was a critical care nurse for over 20 years in NYC where she was introduced to Holistic Healing. It was her interest in this form of therapy that led her to study Therapeutic Touch with Dora Kunz and Dolores Kreiger.After moving to Pennsylvania in 1991, Dr. Betty continued her studies and became a Reiki Master and certified Healing Touch Practitioner; she is also a Flower Essence Counselor and Clinical Aromatherapist.Along with running a private practice, writing and public speaking, Dr Betty owns and operates the Minerva Educational and Treatment Center.
The Minerva Center is located in Honesdale PA in the Pocono mountains. In this beautiful, relaxing setting, many people have learned to practice Reiki, Healing Touch, Aromatherapy,Crystal healing and many other modalities that are taught by Dr. Betty and the Minerva faculty. Quite a few of our students have gone forward to open their own centers and many offer private therapy.
