* Home-schooled by Cambridge University educated father.
* Nursing training at Kaiserswerth, near Dusseldorf
* Superintendent of the Establishment for Gentlewomen at No. 1 Harley Street, London in 1853.
* Lady-in-Chief of 38 female nurses sent to military hospitals in Turkey.

Published Works: Cassandra (essay) Suggestions for Thought to the Searchers after Truth Among the Artizans of England, The Institution of Kaiserwerth (pamphlet), Notes on Nursing (small booklet)
Nursing: Established the Nightingale Training School for nurses at St Thomas' Hospital
Health Care: Campaigned for improved health standards
