I don't know about you, but I am growing weary of the intensity in the media (television, radio, newspapers) and social media (blogs, Facebook, Twitter) regarding the presidential election here in the U.S. I'm ready for this election to be over. Still, I am feeling anxious about the outcome. Our nation is definitely polarized. Sadly, I believe it is polarized due to our collective fears.
With what emotion will you be casting your vote?
Fear, Hope, or something else? I cast my absentee ballot weeks ago... and I will admit that when I cast my vote I felt both hope and fear. Primarily, I was hopeful for the vision my choice of candidate invokes, but I also felt an underlying nagging fear that the other candidate could possibly get more votes and win the election.
I'm not generally comfortable getting into politics in a public way. But, earlier today when I read Animal Reiki Shaman, Rose De Dan's blog post A Vote for the Animals I decided I would take the plunge and get a little political in my blog... even if it is just to point you in the direction of her blog.
In Rose's blog she gives details of the personal shamanic journey she undertook to receive guidance concerning the upcoming election. I wish I had done something similar before I cast my vote. Although, my choice would not have changed. I absolutely did vote with my heart. I feel spiritually aligned with my candidate. Still, I wish I could have turned in my ballot with pure confidence and no fear. Rose's vision of planting a sunflower (a flower I associate with optimism) seed was quite empowering to me personally. I like the idea of planting and growing some optimism.
If you have yet to cast your vote please consider spending a few minutes to seek inner guidance beforehand to make sure the vote you will be casting is in alignment with your own spiritual path. In addition to Rose telling about her own experience seeking guidance from spirit and the animal kingdom she shares two steps that you can use to receive insights prior to your November vote.

Thank you Phylameana and Rose for having the courage to venture into one of the few places spiritual healers won’t go to publicly: political opinion.
Thank you Eileen, I was sure how speaking out would be received generally. Nice to have your support.
