Grateful the DeClutter Bug Bit Us

Healing Photo of the Week

A couple of days ago I decided to give myself the challenge of cleaning out and organizing one drawer a day. We have plenty of drawers around here (desk drawers, kitchen drawers, dresser drawers, not to mention the file cabinet and the hutch), so I'm figuring the project will keep me busy for awhile.

But, my husband has outdone me. Thankfully, the DeClutter Bug bit us both. Joe is undertaking a major clearing clutter project... cleaning out the attic! His project is so overwhelming that I'm pitching in to help him. Joe has been a hoarder of empty cartons for years. I count myself lucky the boxes are mostly empty and not filled with STUFF to sort through. He hangs onto every cardboard box that comes into the house.... "just in case we might need it later, ya know?" Finally he is ready to let go of hundreds of boxes. Hooray!

I keep a Healing Photo of the Week Archive if you wish to revisit previous photos featured.

We had a minor attack of the declutter bug and got the home office cleaned out. I’m hoping for another attack soon!

I love that feeling you get when you have cleaned out a space, gotten rid of the old, brought in the new, and can just lay back and relax and enjoy the organization. It’s quite peaceful.

Wow, I love the assortment, I keep a few (2-3) boxes too, but nothing like Joe, wow so impressive, he could put them on Craigslist for people moving so he they could find a good new home :)

Wow, what a satisfying purge! And it looks like it was easy in the sense that no decisions needed to be made after the first one to declutter all of the boxes. If only all decluttering was that simple.
