Fortune telling with a deck of cards is known as the art of Cartomancy. I have a fondness for using Tarot as a tool for self-empowerment, affirming intentions, and making a stronger spiritual connection with my inner knowing. I have a collection of many different healing and wellness decks that help satisfy my spiritual-growth yearnings. Today, I am sharing one of my all-time favorite divination decks with you using a pictorial demonstration of a card layout and sample reading. This deck is not a Tarot deck. The Russian Gypsy Fortune Telling Deck is a playful "match-game" that is sure to delight you!

I have used this deck for some years as well as many others. This is no game. If you approach this deck like another divinatoin deck you will find or at least myself and my daughter both found that it is amazingly accurate. i do shuffle the same number of times and cut the same direction and number of times consistently and I do five spreads for a reading to be complete. It is so awesome. I love it and would like to find it automated online.

When learning the Tarot, a mechanistic approach to interpretation is absolutely fine, it builds knowledge and confidence – it as amazing how often it will give good, or at least readily accepted, results.
What you may easily find is that other interpretations suggest themselves, with practice. I find, as do a number of mediums I know, that a reading can become an exercise in psychism or even a channel for spirit. It may then not mater what the cards are, playing cards, angel cards, or those so ably recommended by Phylameana.

What I’ve never worked out is whether the link with the subconscious actually changes the events that unfold in life. In any case, I would never use cards for specific prediction, predictions are all too often wrong.
