Has your dentist used laser dentisty to treat caries in your teeth? Pretty cool technology huh? Although the FDA has yet to get on board with using this same light therapy technology for treating toe nail fungus some podiatrists are using it in their practices. Podiatrist Gabriel Maislos, D.P.M., of Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital in Houston has reported infrared light therapy as 87 percent effective in the treatment of toe nail fungus. For anyone who has had their toe nails removed in order to better treat the nail bed with anti-fungal creams or for those who have been reluctant to try prescription drugs that may put your liver at risk, light therapy is a very hopeful alternative.~ Affirmation of the Day ~

I am personally very optimistic about this, and have actually tried laserpuncture treatments for a variety of different ailments including skin rashes, infections, cuts, bug bites, a cold sore, and even chapped lips, etc.

Hello Phylameana,
I don’t know if you have heard it before, but I tried apple cider vinegar to treat toenail fungus and it worked like a charm. I got myself a small syringe and injected a little of it under my toe every night for about a month and the fungus was gone. I hope this helps someone.
How did the laserpuncture work out for you. Was it expensive ??? Did insurance cover it ???
Did the laserpuncture hurt ?? I tried acupuncture once and liked the results but didn’t like the needles.
As a dentist, I find your article entertaining in regard to your reference to laser dentistry (a link to a commercial site which the ADA does not endorse) and the benefits of how it can be used to treat toe nail fungus. Healthy Teeth
when injecting the apple cider viniger, did you puncture the skin?
Phylameana, this is a very interesting article. I had no idea that light therapy could be used for such a wide variety of medical issues. I’d of course heard of laser eye surgery and other more mainstream things, but not toe fungus or dentistry. So with dentistry does it just do like teeth whitening, or does the dentist use a laser to drill your teeth, or what? This is very interesting to me.
