Dear Jaelin,
The universe was trying to get my attention. I did not listen and was assaulted 1/14/10. Traumatic experiences seem to enable me to become more aware of and also more sensitive to myself, to others, and even to life on the other side. If I can be more aware of these during trying times, why am I not as open to it during "normal" everyday life? Or is that the lesson I am supposed to learn?
Thank you. Love and Light,
Ashley
Dear Ashley,
I believe you have answered your own question in that the Universe is teaching, though the lessons do not need to come so harshly. I am so sorry to hear about your traumatic recent event. Trauma does create a shock to your system and cause you to connect to your Higher Self.
During 'normal' everyday life you are so busy and dis-connected that you are not taking the time to connect and really listen. I would suggest starting a daily practice of meditation, even if it is as simple as 5 minutes each morning to sit and focus on your breath. Make the intention to listen and check in with yourself several times a day.
I would also suggest having some energy work done to assist you in healing the energetic assault as well as working with a counselor to help emotionally. Please take care of yourself.
Many Blessings,
Jaelin
