Several years ago I attended an introductory workshop to learn some basics about NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming). One of my take-aways from the experience was learning how to re-frame your perspectives. Basically, if you are overwhelmed with what is in front of you, take a step back and attempt to view it through a smaller portal. When dealing with smaller mental images it is easier to create changes. These images remind me of this process. Especially in the first photo where light has been added to the framed section of the sky, converting darkness into a brighter outlook.

Those are well-chosen images to go with your commentary on perspective.
Perspective is all about remembering to step back once in a while a take a look at life from a different angle.
Great post! — And changing perspectives also sometimes means we have to change the questions we ask within ourselves… for example, going from the ego-centered “why would this person do this to *me*?” to the other-centered “why would *this person* do this?”
So true! Looking at an issue in another way – in a smaller “chunk” – can help us figure out appropriate problem-solving steps.
Also, as suggested by the first picture, another person can help change our perspective.
What a great Wordless Wednesday! Hope you have a fantastic day!
I have been working really hard lately on changing my perspective about food and the role it plays in my life. It is amazing how powerful our minds can be when we train them to look at things differently!
Very good advice, and nice photos to illustrate it.
Those are very creative images! Wow!
I love that top photo. Sort of says it all. Everything is all about how you look at it, isn’t it?
