spiritual parenting New mothers naturally want their babies to be happy and healthy. Along with taking vitamins and getting regular checkups pregnant women will want to add positive thinking to their prenatal prescriptions. Pregnancy can bring a mixture of joys, nervousness, and a number of stresses. Protecting the unborn child from stress and any feelings of negativity is being recommended by some health care professionals.

It is now being learned that a mother's mood while pregnant and also during the months prior to conception may very well affect fetal genetics. James Goodlatte, in the The Epoch Times, cites several researchers and experts who believe that keeping a positive outlook will likely result in creating an offspring with an optimistic disposition.

Among the doctors cited in Goodlatte's article Positive and Negative Thoughts May Affect Fetal Genetics include prenatal physiologist Peter Nathanielsz, Bruce Lipton, Ph.D., Dr. Thomas Verny, and Dr. Deepak Chopra.

Mental Imagery is suggested as a helpful tool for altering negative thinking and also reducing any stresses experienced by pregnant women.
