Recent stories of fraudulent practices in the holistic community was reported by Jill Stark in The New Age. Stark reports outlandish behavior by Thunder Eagle (not his real name) falsely claiming to be a Sioux Lakota Indian shaman who could cure cancer with psychic surgery. The Australian man's birth name is Peter de Angelis but is now going by the name, Shamir Shalom. Changing his name and promising cures is not the worse part of the story. Shalom is an alleged sexual predator who has been the subject of an investigation in the Australian State Parliment for the past year.
Sad and disgusting as these stories are, it is good to expose these "bad eggs" and their fraudulent practices. Take heed in choosing your doctors, therapists, and healers. Using discernment and having an ounce of skepticism are handy tools to use in healer/client relationships. Blindly trusting is simply not in anyone's best interest. Unfortunately, there will always be a few people who will take advantage of the vulnerabilities of others.

I read the 41 page report online, and saw his signed letter and various versions of the flyer.
‘Miss A’ seemed eager to spread the truth and I’m wondering if she makes herself available for discussion?
Or any one else that knew him.
I was a client of his, and since we are all deemed ‘vulnerable’ and ‘emotionally unstable’, issues of trust and disclosure are sensitive at best. How many of us were there?
I am very interested in discussing this with other clients of his, so much so that I begin my sharing here.

I spent 12 hours at a time with him, at his Eltham property.
