We share our lives with animals we keep as pets but exploit many of the others which we claim endearment to. Hopefully we can one day live and share our planet more harmoniously with our animal family.
We can learn so much from animals and from spending time in nature, observing this amazing and beautiful world.
We can learn so much from animals…so often I think of that “peaceable kingdom” and see it though animal eyes….It is not about an absence of conflict and hardship, but an understanding and acceptance of these things as a natural part of life.
Accept them, encompass them, and grow from them.
My sister is a zookeeper and she has always find peace in time spent with animals. Even when her bird Baci yaps as she prepares to lay an egg, my sister finds it soothing. The rest of us feel like the yapping is akin to nails on a blackboard, but we don’t have to live with Baci. Ha! I really like the image you used to depict this.
I have always loved animals, especially cats, but last year my DH and I adopted a Lhasa Apso. She is the heart of our life. I have never bonded so with an animal. For the first few months we had her, I got her a toy or treat at the store almost every time we went! The other day my DH said, “She’s almost too cute to look at.” (He’s a real “tough guy” but she has him wrapped around her pinky claw.)
Cool image. It’s interesting how a phrase like “animal spirits” brings so many different thoughts to mind.
While I agree with everything everyone else has said, I just had to say that I love this picture. It makes me want to go out and make my own version of it. Thanks!
